Who we are…

With an impressive 15 years of dedicated experience in the Optical industry, the owner and Licensed Optician, Kathryn, has wholeheartedly followed her passion to help patients feel valued and treated like individuals. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable insights while working in both corporate and private optical shops, but she was not truly satisfied with the exuberant pricing that often left patients making difficult sacrifices when it came to obtaining crucial features necessary for their eye care and vision. Notably, three years of her career were spent at Luxottica, the largest Rx Manufacturing Lab Operations in the southeast, located in McDonough, GA. It’s important for both patients and professionals to understand the intricate processes that their lenses and frames undergo during the surfacing and mounting phases, as this knowledge plays a vital role in ensuring that the highest quality and safety standards are consistently met.

Optical Experts was created on the principal of leaving something better than you found it. We are genuinely excited about the opportunity to bring our extensive knowledge and expertise to Oconee and the surrounding counties. Our future plans include actively participating in various local charities and initiatives that will meaningfully contribute to the well-being and enrichment of the residents in our beloved communities. We look forward to making a positive impact together!

Our other important goals include actively training and nurturing future Opticians who can have the same positive impact on the optical industry as those before them. Currently, there are over 2,900 GA Licensed Opticians who have successfully been trained to consistently uphold the high standards set by ANSI. At Optical Experts, we deeply understand how paramount it is to have skilled mentors guiding apprentices so that they can thrive and succeed in their chosen field. To ensure we stay at the forefront of our industry, we participate annually in continuing education through the Optician’s Association of Georgia, which is crucial for renewing our accreditation for our licenses through the GA SOS office.
